Albany - State University of New York Interim Chancellor John B. Clark today
announced he has appointed Alfred State College Provost and Vice President for
Academic Affairs Ronald Rosati as Officer in Charge of the campus effective June 1, 2007. As
Officer in Charge, Dr. Rosati will have all the responsibilities and authority
of a campus president.
The campus has formed a
search committee and Dr. Rosati will serve as Officer in Charge until the
appointment of a permanent president of the campus takes place.
“Ron has the experience,
wisdom and dedication necessary to successfully lead Alfred State,” said
Interim Chancellor Clark. “I know from first-hand experience that Alfred State is a
wonderful institution of higher education and I am very confident that Ron will
do an outstanding job.”
“I am very honored by Dr.
Clark’s confidence in appointing me to this position, and look forward to
working with our exceptional faculty, staff, and students in our continuing
efforts to move Alfred State forward,” Provost Rosati commented.
