![]() ![]() ![]() The SUNY CPD is a voluntary organization funded by its members and the SUNY system. Presently 46 SUNY campuses are SUNY CPD Members. Since our inception in 1989, the SUNY CPD has collaborated with SUNY faculty and staff to identify training and professional development needs and deliver custom programs and services to address those needs. Each year the SUNY CPD conducts, hosts, or facilitates more than 200 classes, meetings and conferences for over 3,000 participants. Membership Benefits Training and professional development opportunities are available for faculty and staff in all areas of the Member Organization. Training Points: Seventy-five percent of the Member's annual fee is allocated to training points (dollars) to be used to pay tuition, registration, and other fees associated with participation in programs and services offered by the SUNY CPD. Flexibility in Training: The SUNY CPD uses many delivery methods for its programs and services. Many of these methods are combined into a blended learning approach. They include:
Contracts/Discounts: Members receive discounted pricing for programs. Programs are priced at "Member" and "Non-Member" rates. The SUNY CPD aggressively seeks attractive pricing for training and professional development classes to help its members meet their needs as cost-effectively as possible. The SUNY CPD will assist members of the SUNY community to research and locate desired classes for individual training as well as coordinate dedicated classes either on-site or at our training facility in East Syracuse, NY. How Do I Join? Membership in the SUNY CPD is handled through a system that entitles all faculty and staff on a given campus to participate based on their campus' single membership fee. The annual membership fee is based on the number of faculty and staff (including part-time and full-time) at the institution as indicated in the most current Employees Survey of the State University of New York published by the SUNY System Office of Institutional Research. Annual membership fees range from $1,500 to $5,000. Membership runs from July 1 through June 30, and payment of the annual membership fee is due by the end of September or within 60 days of enrollment, whichever comes first. The annual fee for membership in the SUNY CPD will be processed as a recharge for SUNY state-operated campuses. All other member campuses will be invoiced annually. Membership in the SUNY CPD is activated for your campus upon receipt of a signed membership application form. To receive more information on joining the SUNY CPD, please contact us by phone at (315) 214-2440 or by email at info@cpd.suny.edu.
