The SUNY TC was created in the late 1980's as part of the Comprehensive Computing Upgrade Project, chartered to train the IT community. Much of the SUNY community still associates the TC as a technology training center. The SUNY Center for Professional Development (currently the SUNY Training Center) is more!
More Than Technology Training -
Our new name conveys our broader range of offerings and resources and articulates our broader mission - to serve a more diverse audience on a broad array of technologies and professional skills not limited to technology but including classroom teaching and pedagogy. Further enhancements are planned for our annual conferences and courses, as well as improvements to distance learning related research. Enhanced support for faculty development initiatives are now possible with the addition of the TLT Program Manager to our staff.
