Academic ProgramsCPD Academic Programs are geared towards the Academic Communities of faculty, instructional support staff, and faculty developers. The Academic Programs team creates, develops and delivers programs based on campus needs for skill and knowledge development in various instructional technologies/software and in the area of teaching and learning.
Programs are delivered in a variety of formats:
Customized and Delivered to You Academic Programs can be customized to meet your particular training or professional development needs. Programming can be brought directly to your campus, dedicated to your Academic staff; or your campus could act as a "Regional Site." Meeting Your Needs To provide you with training and professional development appropriate to your needs, Academic Programs conducts periodic Needs Assessments.
NEW! Certificate in Teaching and Learning (Coming in 2014) A Certificate in Teaching and Learning is currently in development. In 2012 a group of Teaching and Learning Center leaders from 10 SUNY campuses joined together to create a Certificate Program in Teaching and Learning that would assist faculty in planning a defined, systematic path for professional development. Facilitated by the SUNY CPD, this group is working to create a standard curriculum for faculty intended to raise the level of teaching throughout SUNY in a consistent and reliable manner. Stay tuned! For more information about the Certificate Program or Academic Programs, contact Lisa Raposo, Assistant Director/Academic Programs Manager at lisa.raposo@suny.edu or (315) 214-2426.
