“SUNY campuses across New York State continue to be ranked favorably by nationwide publications and recognized for their outstanding quality, accessibility, and unsurpassed value.

“Today’s release of the 2011 Best Colleges Rankings by U.S. News and World Report includes many highlights from SUNY campuses.

“SUNY dominates the Top Ten list of Best Regional Universities in the North, with SUNY Geneseo ranked 2nd; SUNY New Paltz, 7th; SUNY Oneonta, 9th; and SUNY Fredonia, 10th. Three SUNY schools are among the Top 50 Public National Universities: SUNY Environmental Science & Forestry, Binghamton University, and Stony Brook University.

“Additionally, two SUNY schools—Binghamton University and the University at Buffalo—are the only two in New York State, public or private, to make the publication's list of schools where students graduate with the least amount of debt.

“Congratulations to the campus presidents, faculty, staff, and students who are responsible for SUNY's consistent placement among these prominent rankings.”
