In the aftermath of Super Storm Sandy, SUNY has partnered with the American Red Cross to aid disaster victims along the Atlantic Coast. Giving charitably, donating blood, and volunteering your time are the three best ways to help disaster victims. As the SUNY family, we have an obligation to help those in need, and what better way for our 468,000 students, 88,000 faculty and staff, and 3 million alumni to give back to New York.
The American Red Cross has compiled a thank you video of families that have received aid through generous donations for Superstorm Sandy relief. The video and a quote from the Regional Development Manager and Interim Director of Development Operations of the Red Cross of Northeastern NY are below.
Thank you to all who have given and continue to give.
Red Cross of Northeastern NY: "As we start the holiday season, I want to take a moment to thank you for your support throughout the year. Your generosity is truly appreciated by the Red Cross and by all those affected by disasters like Superstorm Sandy. Today, I’d like to share a very short video featuring just a handful of people that would like to thank you for your compassion."
