Diversity and Affirmative Action

The Office of Diversity and Affirmative Action provides programs that facilitate an appreciation for human differences relating to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability, age and religion.

The Office:

  • manages SUNY-wide graduate fellowships for underrepresented students and SUNY-wide affirmative action initiatives;
  • interprets related laws, rules, regulations and policies;
  • assists campus presidents and affirmative action personnel; and
  • assists SUNY System Administration legal counsel and human resources personnel.
