The Office of University Life sponsored the University-wide safety symposium: Crisis on Campus - The State University Reflects and Responds on Monday Oct 29, 2007 Over 210 campus personnel attended sessions on emergency response planning, legal issues, working with at-risk students, pandemic flu, crisis management, work place violence, and effective training sessions for faculty/staff. Dr. Marcus Martin, a member of the Virginia Tech Review Panel appointed by Governor Timothy Kaine, was the keynote speaker. This is the fifth SUNY-wide symposium sponsored by the Office of University Life over the past five years. Previous symposia include Personal Safety (2002), Preventing and Responding to Disruptive Students (2004), Making the Most of the Mandates (2005), and Current Issues in Mental Health (2005).

The above materials were handed out at the 2007 symposia.
