Program Overview

The SUNY System Administration Sponsored Programs Office supports numerous local and state-wide sponsored programs and was established and charged with the following tasks and responsibilities.

  • Establish a framework for the development, financial administration and management of sponsored programs within the Research Foundation context;

  • Identify and obtain extramural funding for critical University initiatives and programs; and

  • Pursue opportunities consistent with the University mission that adds to but does not conflict with campus activities.

The Sponsored Programs Office (“SPO”) is responsible for the development, coordination and financial management of all contracts and grants for the programs we support.

SPO helps to support sponsored programs activities in an efficient and professional manner, which is in full compliance of the policies of the Research Foundation of SUNY, sponsor guidelines as well as state and local entities.

For more information contact the office by phone at 518-433-4800.
