Directory of Offices of International Education - Spring 2007
Foreign Institutions of Higher Education (HEIs) with Active SUNY Programs
- International Enrollments at SUNY - Trends 1998 through 2004
- International Enrollments at SUNY - Fall 2004 arrayed by country of origin
- Study Abroad Enrollment by Term (Includes Fall 2004) (Student Data File Numbers)
- Overseas Program Enrollments (Institutional Research)
- Program numbers as of March 6, 2006:
(Please note that we have revised the mode of compiling the numbers. Because the task of breaking "alive" programs into groups of either "active" or "inactive" proved to be too cumbersome and inaccurate, there are now two subcategories of program: Programs in Force and Terminated Programs )
There is a temporary problem in the computational algorithm, and the subtotals aren't adding up correctly. Treat the numbers as OK to within 3-4 until this is corrected.
Total Overseas Programs 1002 (Code-bearing - in force or terminated) Programs in Force 621 (Both OAPs and exchanges) OAPs in Force 445 Exchanges in Force 174 Terminated Programs 383 (Code-bearing - terminated) Pending Programs 9 (Awaiting final signoff and code) Internal Programs in Force 112 (Limited to home campus students) Active Institutional Links 287

OAP "Firsts" at SUNY
Who had the first overseas program?
- Buff State's program in Siena was established in 1961. According to Lee Ann, there may have been other programs before that, but theirs is definitely the oldest, continuously operating one.
- Oswego: 1963 in Puerto Rico.
- Cortland started sending students to Neuchtel, Switzerland in 1964.
- Albany's records of study abroad transcripts start with 1969.
- RCC is also 1969.
AND THE WINNER IS:
- SUNY Brockport has had study abroad programs since 1953.
