The GIS Mobility Mapping Project

Geographic information systems integrate hardware, software, and data for the purposes of visual analysis Student mobility necessarily involves geographically referenced data as students transfer between campuses. The project seeks to develop tools that will allow users to better understand relationships, patterns, and trends in SUNY student mobility. It is anticipated that a pilot study of two campuses will be completed during the summer of 2012. Following an evaluation of user feedback, the tools will be scaled up to accommodate full system data during from Fall 2012 through Spring 2013.
