SUNY Brockport Sponsors New Rochester EOC

Ground was broken on the new Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC) in July 2010. The five-story building, located at 161 Chestnut Street in Rochester, houses the adult academic and career training programs for the REOC and brings together students and employees currently located at three separate locations throughout the City of Rochester.

The REOC is sponsored, in-part, by SUNY Brockport, and is the only tuition-free adult training facility in the area.

The new facility will include state-of-the art classrooms, a 500-seat multipurpose area, a cosmetology salon, and culinary bistro. The facility will enhance REOC’s ability to meet the needs of students, teachers, and the community. The multipurpose area, equipped with updated presentation technology, will better accommodate the full student body for presentations, class discussions, events and public gatherings.
