SUNY Upstate, Binghamton University Partner On Neuroscience

SUNY Upstate Medical University and Binghamton University signed two agreements in July 2011 that increase academic ties among them, increase efficiency, and expand access for students at both campuses.

Per the agreements, SUNY Upstate and BU will share, via video-conference, graduate-level courses in neuroscience that are now offered by the Behavioral Neuroscience Program at BU and by the Neuroscience Graduate Program at SUNY Upstate. In addition, one BU student will automatically be guaranteed admission into SUNY Upstate's highly competitive Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program, and at least one slot per year will be held for a BU student wishing to enroll in SUNY Upstate's College of Graduate Studies to pursue a doctorate in biological sciences.
