The College of Ceramics at Alfred University, founded in 1900 by the State to provide support for the ceramics industry, has evolved into two internationally acclaimed schools. The School of Art & Design offers a full range of visual arts programs, including the top-ranked MFA in ceramic art in the country. The School of Engineering offers programs in materials-based disciplines, and still provides outstanding service to NYS industries.

University at Buffalo EOC The University at Buffalo Educational Opportunity Center (UB/EOC) is part of a statewide network of ten Educational Opportunity Centers and two SUNY Outreach Centers. UB/EOC has provided tuition-free education and vocational training programs to eligible New York State adults for almost 40 years. At UB/EOC students achieve their educational and employment goals to embark on pathways to new careers or to transition to post-secondary education.
