64 Campuses Serving the Higher Education Needs of New York State

The State University's mission - teaching, public service and research - is carried out by:

  • Eight campuses (including three health science centers) offering academic programs through the doctoral level and serving as research centers.

  • Thirteen university colleges providing undergraduate education in a variety of academic fields.

  • Eight technology colleges focusing on the development of a workforce with the advanced skills required by an increasingly technology-dependent economy.

  • Thirty community colleges offering access to a wide array of higher education opportunities that prepare students for transfer to senior colleges or train them for a variety of technical or paraprofessional occupations.

The State University of New York Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Affairs, philanthropy@suny.edu primary focus is to sustain the $3 Billion Challenge by providing support and services to the 64 campuses planning to conduct capital campaigns.
