64 Campuses Serving the Higher Education Needs of New York State
The State University's mission - teaching, public service and research - is carried out by:
- Eight campuses (including three health science centers) offering academic programs through the doctoral level and serving as research
centers.
- Thirteen university colleges providing undergraduate education in a variety of academic fields.
- Eight technology colleges focusing on the development of a workforce with the advanced skills required by an increasingly
technology-dependent economy.
- Thirty community colleges offering access to a wide array of higher education opportunities that prepare students for transfer to senior
colleges or train them for a variety of technical or paraprofessional occupations.

The State University of New York Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Affairs, philanthropy@suny.edu
primary focus is to sustain the $3 Billion Challenge by providing support and services to the 64 campuses planning to conduct capital
campaigns.
