SUNY CELEBRATES CONCLUSION OF $3 BILLION CHALLENGE
The SUNY $3 Billion Challenge was a comprehensive fundraising initiative among our 64 campuses which officially began on January 1, 2004 and successfully concluded on June 30, 2010 -- two years ahead of schedule. The Challenge has had an enormous impact on the University by creating a culture of philanthropy and alumni support among SUNY’s 2.4 million living alumni.
The funds raised continue to support tens of thousands of students with scholarships, financial aid, and programmatic support, unlock the potential of new state-supported facilities and academic programs, and assist our campuses in recruiting and retaining world-class faculty.
