New Legislation

CONTRACTS THAT NO LONGER REQUIRE AG & OSC APPROVAL

Effective April 1, 2011 OSC and AG approval is not required for the following SUNY contracts regardless of the amount:

  • Procurement of materials, equipment and supplies (including computer equipment);
  • Procurement of motor vehicles;
  • Construction contracts;
  • Construction-related services contracts such as architectural or surveying services;
  • Printing contracts.

CONTRACTS THAT STILL REQUIRE AG & OSC APPROVAL:

 The following contract categories (with different applicable oversight approval thresholds) are not exempt and still require AG and OSC pre-approval:  

  • Real Estate (all);
  • Services, other than construction-related services, (above $250K);
  • Revenue (above $10K);
  • Article eleven-B (above $250K): Contracts with not for profit organizations;
  • IT Programming and Consulting contracts;
  • Information Advisory Services provided by companies.

Strategic Sourcing

NYS has contracted with Accenture on a Strategic Sourcing Initiative.  SUNY will be particpating in selected categories of this project.
