InternShop, a partnership between The Business Council and SUNY, is a Software as a Service platform that matches employers with interns across the state. This is a one-stop platform for employers to engage with all 64 SUNY campuses to share meaningful and relevant paid internship opportunities.
SUNY has partnered with the NYS Business Council to develop a cutting edge database that matches student interest with industry need. NYS Business Council members are working to develop applied learning opportunities to students who will be tracked through their internships and into employment. Now, all SUNY campuses are members of the New York State Business Council, and as a benefit of membership, all SUNY students have access to a one-of-a-kind matching database system to find the perfect experiential, applied learning opportunity.
To use InternShop, click “Apply Now.” InternShop is not just a repository of opportunities, but a cutting-edge matching tool. In order to ensure you receive the best match that will provide you with a successful work experience, the tool requires specific information about your preferred location and areas of interest, therefore all fields are mandatory. Students will be asked to upload a personal statement which should be one page or less and describe your reason for applying for an internship along with your expectations of the experience, including what you hope to gain. Applied learning opportunities provide our students with real world hands-on experiences that both teach them new skills and prepare them for the careers they hope to land upon earning their degrees. Internshop is a new program that helps connect students to these paid internship opportunities that meet their skills and interests.
