SUNY employs over 50,000 employees at its 29 state-operated campuses. University-wide Human Resources provides support for administration and support of Human Resource operations in the following areas:

• Administering the Policies of the Board of Trustees
• Administration of Union Contracts
• Advising campuses regarding policies of OSC, DOB, GOER, Civil Service and NYS Ethics Commission
• Maintaining integrated Human Resources Management System
• Liaison between SUNY campuses and State agencies for administering University-wide benefits programs
• Ensuring campus payroll accuracy (ensure approvals and disapprovals of transactions)
• Ensuring that all campus payroll additions, changes and deletions are accurately recorded
• Maintaining and updating the employees position and title system
• Providing University-wide data information and analysis
