Director of Computing Center (MP)

This title is in the unclassified service and is designated Managerial/Confidential Appointees to Managerial/Confidential titles serve at the pleasure of the chief administrative officer and are not represented for collective negotiations. Appointees to this title may also possess concurrent faculty rank.

Positions in this series are concerned with in depth operational and systems analysis and programming and the supervision of this work in the management, administrative, business, instruction, research, and scientific areas in a university and educational setting.

DIRECTOR OF COMPUTING CENTER, under supervision from an executive officer at a campus, coordinates the provision of advice and service to administrative, instructional, student, and research users of a computing center.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Doctorate in mathematics, computer science, engineering, or in other appropriate fields and several years of combined and increasingly complex experience in teaching and in the management of a computing center, preferably at a higher educational institution, or a satisfactory combination of equivalents.
