Assistant Dean (Nursing) (SL)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

These positions, under the general supervision of a Dean at a clinical campus, provide a broad range of professional academic services in various aspects of program administration.

As a representative of a School or College they may be assigned duties relative to academic affairs including, but not limited to:

Responsibilities may be assumed within student affairs, student personnel, and graduate admissions. The Assistant Dean performs special studies as requested by the Dean and may have responsibility for the administrative supervision of other professional, technical, clerical and student personnel assigned to the office or school. May represent the Dean in various meetings with faculty, students, governmental representatives and members of the general public.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's degree and the relevant experience necessary to perform the requirements of the particular assignment.
