This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.
Under the direction of the Director, the Inventory Control Manager determines a campuses stock requirements (ie. parts and equipment for maintenance, chemicals and substances for academic research and needs.) Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ordering, receiving, and distributing stock; coordinating and maintaining purchases with purchasing agents and/or vendors as appropriate; developing manuals, catalogs, and inventory lists; designing and overseeing a computerized inventory tracking and accounting system as appropriate; sustaining a current inventory and stock consistent with the campuses; needs and programs; consulting with campus personnel on purchases.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Accounting or related field. Three years experience in procurement preferred.
