Presidential Staff positions provide a broad range of administrative services to the chief executive officer of a campus. The specific position responsibilities vary from generalized administrative tasks of a professional nature to those of a highly specialized and specific nature. These positions are intended to relieve the chief administrative officer of various program aspects.
Serves as the senior policy advisor to the campus President on matters related, but not limited to, fiscal affairs and budget, organizational planning, and university relations. Duties typically include such activities as: participating in the President's cabinet or similar executive staff forums; preparing confidential internal management audits to assess programs and implement change; planning and coordinating major campus events; reviewing correspondence to President and drafting responses on complex issues; assisting in the formulation and drafting of policy and position statements.
Advanced degree in a professionally related discipline. Five to seven years of professional experience in higher education, public sector management or campus related enterprise; or five years of faculty experience, two of which must be at a senior administrative level.
