Director of Center for Art, Music & Theatre (SL5)

 

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

The Director is responsible for the leadership and supervision of the Center for Art, Music and Theatre. This Position directs the academic programs for the fields of Art, Music and Theatre. Additionally, the Director supervises and provides impetus to the visual and performing arts programs offered at the college. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, concerts, theatrical productions, and presentations of works of Art. The Director also serves as a liaison between the college and Community Arts groups, coordinating the sharing of programs and skills. Other responsibilities include: Supervising the Development of a comprehensive center curriculum; coordinating the recruitment and appointment of new faculty; formulating, allocating and administering the center's budget and expenditure accounts.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's degree in the field of performing or visual arts. Three to five years of teaching and administrative experience in higher education.
