This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

Directs a functional area relating to a specialized student group or to a specific program providing services to students. Has primary responsibility for planning, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive program and providing services within, but not limited to, one or more of the following areas: International Student Services, Minority Student Services, Disabled Student Services, Student Orientation Programs, Fraternity/Sorority Advising, Non-traditional Student Services, Computer Student Services. Within each area the Director is accountable for assessing the needs of the institution and the Specific Population, and developing a program or service to meet those needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's degree and significant experience within a specific functional area.
