Director of Residential Life (SL5)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit. This title is in Appendix A of the SUNY Policies of the Board of Trustees and, as a consequence, incumbents serving in this title are not eligible for permanent appointment (tenure), but, instead receive five year renewable term appointments.

As a family, the housing and residential life series administers and manages all facets of on-campus student housing, including operation of the housing complex and coordination of academic, cultural, and social programs for resident students.

Directs a campus housing program that includes academic, social, cultural, and special interest programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's degree. Significant experience in a campus housing and residential life operation with some managerial and supervisory responsibilities is required.
