Director of Lake Erie Environmental Studies (SL6)

 

This title is in the Unclassified Service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

Is the chief administrator of the research facility dealing not only with Lake Erie but the aquatic environment of Chautauqua County. Responsibilities include integrating the study, teaching and research functions of the Environmental Resources Center; planning, coordinating and managing the daily activities of the Center; supervising and participating in the research activities associated with ongoing environmental studies; initiating academic seminars and activities for students and staff in the Biology Department; and is responsible for the public relations and acquisition of outside funding for the activities of the Center.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D with satisfactory experience in teaching research and administrative duties.
