Career Planning and Development Officer (SL4)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

As a family, positions in the Career Planning and Development series have responsibility for assisting and counseling students in relation to a post-graduation placement program.

May be distinguished from a Director of Career Planning and Development in that incumbents typically perform the career planning and development function alone, with no other professional staff. Career Planning and Development Officers are generalists solely performing the full array of responsibilities of the office. Supervision may be exercised over support staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's degree and significant experience in career counseling and placement.
