This title is in the unclassified service and is designated Managerial/Confidential. Appointees to Managerial/Confidential titles serve at the pleasure of the chief administrative officer and are not represented for collective negotiations.
Positions in this broad general grouping are involved with the administering of the campus business affairs to support and enhance the academic purpose of the campus. 'They include but are not limited to accounting, budget development, administration and control, the bursary, payroll, and internal audit. Supervision is generally provided by the chief business officer -- either a Vice President for Administration or Director of Business Affairs -- and functional specialists assigned as needed.
BUDGET CONTROL OFFICER, under policy direction from the President, through a Vice President or Director of Business Affairs, supervises a campus budget program. Translates academic programs into financial dimensions by preparing the campus budget; works with Deans and Directors to develop and apply standards of measurement; prepares all budget justifications and submittals and maintains controls in the administration of approved budgets and reviews and submits requests for changes; supervises the preparation of budget and fiscal statistical data.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Higher Education Administration with two years experience in an appropriate field.
