This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.
Positions in this family are concerned with campus-wide educational communications programs that support the teaching, research, and public service programs of the campus. They are specifically responsible for planning and managing the two major elements of Educaitonal Communications Center program: Instructional Research and Development and Educational Communications Services.
Consults with faculty on instructional problems and assists in preparation and production of instructional materials to meet their needs. Supervises instruction in the use of audio-visual equipment and instructional materials; coordinates scheduling, distribution and service of equipment; consudts workshops for faculty and staff in the use of media and materials; performs research in evaluating the effect of varied media and methods on the learning process.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Doctorate or equivalent professional experience in the field of educational technology, preferably in teaching, and significant work experience in the communication media. Demonstrated management ability.
