Assistant for Sponsored Research (SL3)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

The Assistant for Sponsored Research administers and participates in the execution of numerous institutional programs in support of research, undergraduate and graduate training, and faculty development. Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to: initiating and implementing activities which result In the preparation of proposals for research, training, and creative activities; developing and administering programs which encourage interdisciplinary faculty participation; instructing faculty in the development of skills in designing research or training programs; identifying sources of support and preparing proposals for funding.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ph.D with training in research methods and appropriate experience in grants proposal development.
