Assistant for Instructional Resources (SL3)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

Positions in this family are concerned with campus-wide educational communications programs that support the teaching, research, and public service programs of the campus. They are specifically responsible for planning and managing the two major elements of Educational Communications Center program: Instructional Research and Development and Educational Communications Services.

Provides assistance to faculty and students in the full utilization of instructional resource tools and techniques in the learning process including the use of television, radio, motion pictures, slides, overhead projectors, programmed materials, graphics, and other audio and video media including computers.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in the field of educational technology, preferably in teaching, and significant work experience in the communication media. Demonstrated management ability.
