Academic Tutor (SL3)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

Works with EOP students, tutors individual students in academic subjects in which the student is scholastically deficient; performs testing which indicates the area of deficiency; may be administratively responsible for a specific area of a learning center such as English as a second language, testing and placement, math learning center, writing center and other specialized learning units.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree, preferably in the field of education and demonstrable teaching; experience in secondary or post secondary schools.
