T.H. Clinical Technical Services Vascular Associate (SL2)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

Incuments of positions in this family perform evaluations of the peripheral arterial, venous and cerebrovascular system for the physician to read over, edit and sign, including post-operative examination of the peripheral surgical points of interest.

Independently evaluates the arterial and venous circulation in the upper and lower extremities; applies knowledge of the cerebrovascular circulation and elementary notion of duplex scanning; prepares and calculates acquired results for final interpretation; may instruct medical staff and students; may instruct Assistant; reports to the supervisor of the Vascular Laboratory.

Preferred Qualification:

High School Diploma. Two to four years experience in Vascular Technology.
