This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.
As a family, T.H. Administrative Support provides a broad range of professional support services to department heads or administrative officers within the University Hospital. Distinctions between classes are based on the complexity of support the incumbent provides, the difficulty of the work, the degree of supervision received, the degree of autonomy in decision-making, and educational/ experience requirements.
Incumbents are assigned functional and administrative supervision over a small clerical staff and receive direct supervision from a senior administrator who verifies the work. Typical duties include coordination of divisional activities among individuals and groups working within the incumbent's area, acting as liaison between staff members and administrative, academic, research, and clinical personnel as well as off-campus individuals, and maintenance of accurate, up-to-date records of state and department funds, to include research grant monies where applicable. Independently responds to routine correspondence and fulfills other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or AAS with two years of relevant experience in a supervisory/ administrative capacity.
