T.H. Rehabilitation Counselor II (SL2)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

As a family the positions in this group are involved in providing treatment to restore a patient's abilities to the highest normal functioning level possible.

Determines the amount and type of testing and/or provides counseling. Discusses with patient or client test results or outcome, formulates vocational goals, recommends training or direct placement in an occupational field. Responsible for implementation of educational and departmental in-service programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. Minimum of two years in an acute care facility.
