This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.
Positions whose primary responsibilities are to monitor and inspect hospital areas which use hazardous and biohazardous materials for the purpose of recommending corrective action for safe handling and appropriate waste disposal and to promulgate and present safety training programs to a diverse cross-section of hospital employees.
Responsible for gathering and collecting data for report preparation. Responsibilities include safety training in Fire, Radiation, Chemicals, etc. and policy development. Performs surveys such as insulation and give air monitoring. Responds to emergency conditions; investigates complaints and inspects the laboratories.
Preferred Qualification:
B.S. and two to four years experience.
