T.H. Clinical Technical Services Emergency Medical Services Associate (SL2)

This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.

Positions in the emergency medical service family provides transport supervision and coordination of paramedics in the emergency medical service setting.

First line supervisor to Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians who are responsible for providing transportation to/from University Hospital to any other geographically detached medical facility (hospital, clinical facility, etc.). Supervisory responsibilities include personnel evaluations, counseling and scheduling. Responsible for ensuring that policies and procedures are being followed. Ensures that all equipment and needed supplies are available, that preventative maintenance is performed as needed and that repairs are expedited. Reports directly to the Clinical Technical Specialist.

Preferred Qualification:

Associate's Degree, NYS Certified EMT/AEMT IV/Paramedic, and two or more years of experience as a paramedic, one year experience being in a supervisory/ administrative capacity. ACLS Provider/Instructor, BLS Provider/Instructor preferred.
