This title is in the unclassified service and in the SUNY Professional Services Negotiating Unit.
Incumbents in positions in this family provide patient care services; bench and classroom instruction as it relates to Audiology.
Administers full-range of diagnostic audiology procedures including impedance measurements, evoked potential audiometry, speech and language screening examinations. May maintain an aural rehabilitation caseload; responsible for equipment calibration and maintenance; reports preparation and communication with referral sources and treatment agencies. Participates in in service departmental and community educational programs and supervision of students. Participates in clinical research activities.
Preferred Qualification:
Masters in Audiology, clinical certification in Audiology (or equivalent). NYS license or eligible and completion of an approved post-master's clinical internship required; hospital experience preferred.
