Positions in this family direct the management, operation and administration of a university-based teaching, research and patient care hospital and also provide liaison and coordination between the university's hospital and those in the area in affiliation with it.
TEACHING HOSPITAL ASSOCIATE ADMINISTRATOR serves as deputy to a Vice President for Hospital Affairs at a teaching and research hospital. Does related work as required. Assists the Vice President in his responsibility for all hospital teaching departments and services, including diagnostic departments, nursing, patient coordination, rehabilitation center and the office of the hospital controller; is responsible for administrative management of the departments of radiology, pharmacy, clinical laboratories, food service, volunteer service, communication services, hospital personnel, material services, housekeeping and maintenance; conducts seminars in hospital organization and medical staff relations for undergraduate medical students.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Master's degree in hospital administration and four years of experience in hospital administration, preferable in a teaching-research hospital.
