Contact: David Belsky, David.Belsky@suny.edu Office of Public Relations State University of New York State University Plaza, Albany, NY 12246 518-443-5311 www.suny.edu
For Immediate Release: Tues., March 2, 2010
New York/Stony Brook – State University of New York Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher will be hosting two symposia this week as part of a comprehensive strategic planning process currently underway.
The first, “Research and Innovation,” will take place Wed., March 3, 2010 at Stony Brook University.
The second, “Globalization and New York’s Economic Recovery: SUNY’s Role?,” will take place Thurs., March 4, 2010 at the SUNY Global Center in Manhattan.
Both symposia will address their respective topics as they relate to the overall working hypothesis behind the strategic planning process – that SUNY can be the driver for economic revitalization in the State of New York and the catalyst for improving the quality of life for its citizens.
Below, you will find an agenda for each event including a listing of expert panelists to be in attendance.
As with the statewide conversations, the two symposia can be followed live via Twitter. A video of the day will be available soon after on the SUNY strategic planning webcast archive.
