The Southwest University of Science and Technology

The Southwest University of Science and Technology (SWUST) is a new, multi-discipline university.  It lies in Mianyang City, the second largest city of Sichuan Province. The main campus is adjacent to the major branch of Yangtze River-Fujiang in the east. The successive Dragon Hill in the campus is the Hilltop Forest Park.

SWUST has two campuses: the main campus and Xishan campus. The Main campus covers about 250 hectares, consisting of the West and East campuses. The beautiful Main campus is originally the campus of Mianyang Branch of Qinghua University. The modern East campus was built after the founding of SWUST.

In SWUST there are 1668 teachers. About 600 teachers have acquired the senior professional posts, and some have achieved the status of academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering. There are about 25,087 full-time students, including postgraduates, undergraduates, and non-degree students. In addition, the Adult Education College has an enrollment of over 6,586 students.

SWUST has more than 10 modern teaching buildings, which cal hold over 30,000 students, There are three libraries with a total collection of 1.2 million volumes, In addition, these libraries are connected to other domestic universities ' libraries through the Internet, and they have available on-line studying and research .
