Region I:  Kristina Blank from Caryville, NY, attend University at Buffalo and will graduate in May 2012 with a BA in Environmental Studies. With a GPA of 3.83 and as a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Ms. Blank is not only an honors students, but is active in a number of clubs and organizations committed to bettering our environment.

Region II:  Ryan Lafollette from Fayetville, NY, attends Upstate Medical University as a fourth year medical student. Mr. Lafollette is president of his class and has been instrumental in improving peer advisement at the college. In recognition of Mr. Lafollette's award, President Smith will be matching the ACT Scholarship.

Region III:  Sam Chernikoff Frumkin from Ithaca, NY, attends the University at Albany and will graduate in May 2012. Mr. Frumkin's GPA of 3.99 and membership in the Honor's College is remarkable given his involvement with the greater Albany community and his work with the city's police chief search process.

Region IV:  Minna Scholl from Glen Cove, NY, attends the College at Old Westbury where she maintains a GPA of 3.63 while simultaneously working on a master's degree at Hofstra University. Ms. Scholl's peer tutoring and volunteer work with senior citizens has greatly contributed to her academic experience.
