Lawrence Waldman headshotMr. Waldman currently serves as an Advisor to the accounting firm of EisnerAmper LLP, where he was previously the Partner-in-Charge of Commercial Audit Practice Development for Long Island.  Prior to joining EisnerAmper, Mr. Waldman was the Partner-in-Charge of Commercial Audit Practice Development for Holtz Rubenstein Reminick, LLP from 2006 to 2011.  Mr. Waldman was the Managing Partner of the Long Island office of KPMG LLP from 1994 through 2006, the accounting firm where he began his career in 1972. 

He is currently the Treasurer of the Long Island Association as well as a member of its board of directors.  In addition, Mr. Waldman is a member of the board of directors and Treasurer of each of the Long Island Angel Network and the Advanced Energy Research Center at Stony Brook University and a member of the Dean's Advisory Board of the Hofstra University Frank G. Zarb School of Business. He previously served as the Chairman of the board of trustees of the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) and as Chair and a member of the finance and audit committee of its Board of Trustees. Mr. Waldman serves as a member of the board of directors of Bovie Medical Corporation, and serves as chair of its audit committee.  Mr. Waldman is also a member of Supervisory Committee of Bethpage Federal Credit Union.

A devoted volunteer for a broad array of charitable and civic organizations, Larry served as President of the Nassau Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was the President of the East Williston Union Free School District and was the Treasurer of the Nassau Suffolk School Boards Association. He also served on the Board of the United Way of Long Island. In addition, Larry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Waldman received his bachelor's degree and MBA from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, where he is also an adjunct professor.
