Outstanding Student Affairs Program Awards 2008 (State-Operated)
During the spring of 2007, the Office of University Life at SUNY System Administration and the Council of Chief Student Affairs Officers invited nominations from every SUNY state-operated campus for programs that have made a positive impact on students and their development. Categories included: New Student/First Year Programs; Student Government and Organizations; Recreation and Intramurals; Diversity and Multicultural Programs; and Emerging Programs.
In the fall of 2007, a selection committee comprised of representatives from the campuses and System Administration reviewed the nominations received. Forty-two nominations were submitted. Five of these were selected for special recognition, and awards were presented at the Council of Chief Student Affairs Officers Conference held in Saratoga Springs in November.
