Each of the campuses in the State University of New York is responsible for its own faculty and professional recruitment and staffing procedures. This site will enable you to link to professional and faculty vacancy announcements for those campuses which post them on the internet. You should contact directly those campuses whose vacancies suit your interests. Also, many SUNY faculty and professional job notices are advertised in The Chronicle of Higher Education.

University vacancies in the classified support service are filled in cooperation with the department of Civil Service. The Department administers the merit and fitness system which includes testing and grading applicants for promotion and initial hire and coordinating filling of vacancies across all State agencies.

The campuses of the State University of New York seek to attract and retain the highest quality faculty, staff and administration across all State agencies. For competitive positions, the Department publishes exam announcements which describe the positions, qualifications and test dates.
