Opportunities for SUNY Faculty and Students

The Professional Fellows Program brings scholars from Russian universities to SUNY campuses for a minimum of two months. The goal of the program is to provide sufficient time on an appropriate SUNY campus for the Russian faculty member to pursue possible forms of sustained cooperation, to become familiar with the department in which he or she is housed, to undertake research, and to offer some number of lectures. In the ideal circumstance, the Professional Fellow is also hired as an adjunct by the SUNY campus to teach a course, in which case the available funding allows the Fellow to spend a full semester on a SUNY campus. SUNY Professional Fellows are funded by a collaboration among the sending Russian university, the receiving SUNY campus, and OIP. For information about applying for the Professional Fellows Program see the section Opportunities.
