SUNY Center for Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)
The Office of International Programs (OIP) and the Office of Learning Environments (OLE) at SUNY System Administration joined with Purchase College to create the SUNY Center for Collaborative Online International Learning. Otherwise known as COIL, the Center opened in September 2006.
The mission of the COIL center is to develop more on-line courses with an international dimension throughout SUNY. COIL will work with faculty on all campuses to develop courses that will be team taught with an international partner, and which will enroll students both from SUNY campuses and from institutions abroad. Learn more about the Center, including proposed courses from SUNY faculty and from faculty abroad.
Faculty working on proposing a new course and looking for academic partners are encouraged to contact Jon Rubin Director of the COIL Center at SUNY College at Purchase, or their campus Director of International Education for guidance.
