Canada :: Overview

Partnerships with Canada figure among both the first and the most recent ties between the State University of New York (SUNY) and other academic institutions around the globe. For many years, for example, SUNY students have been perfecting their skills in French at SUNY's numerous partner institutions in Quebec. More recently, however, SUNY, through its Office of International Programs, has sought to expand its collaborations with Canadian universities by the development of partnerships with more institutions from throughout the nation and in more disciplines than those that are currently represented in cooperative efforts.
