Brazil :: Programs and Activities :: Dual Diploma

Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro: In December 2005 Dean Bruce Sillner of SUNY New Paltz and Ms. Sally Crimmins Villela, Senior Associate Director, Office of International Programs and Director for Latin American Programs had the opportunity to visit the campus of the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Meetings were held to discuss possible fields for collaboration for dual diploma programs. It was determined that the field which offers the most potential for significant student participation is Graphic Design. Faculty on both sides are enthusiastic about the proposal and have been collaborating on curriculum development at a distance ever since. PUC-Rio faculty is planning a visit to SUNY New Paltz in 2006 to finalize their curriculum decisions.
